Regulatory Information
Floridian Natural Gas Storage Company, LLC will be regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas, and oil.

In addition to FERC regulations, FGS will work closely with many other governmental entities on a Federal, State, and Local basis to ensure that all aspects of the FGS facilities are safe and secure.
Among the agencies Floridian Natural Gas Storage Company LLC will interact with during the construction and/or operational phases of the facility are:
- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
- The United States Department of Transportation - Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)
- The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- The United States Army Corps of Engineers
- The United States Department of Labor - Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
- The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC)
- The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)
- The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD)
